Fabulous!! I have fabricated this dish numerous times and it is a big striking with the family. You can employ any type of vinegar (red, white wine, baslamic). I cut the oil amount in half and utilize turkey bacon. Definitely a keeper.
09/04/2002
A friend of mine recently fabricated a blue cheese potato salad that called for sour cream. Information technology was pretty expert, only this recipe is and so much better. It actually reminds me of my german white potato salad with the actress bonus of the cheese. This is great served at room temperature. Cheers!
03/24/2001
Piece of cake and good recipe. I added more than blue cheese, and added information technology while potatoes where still warm. This melts the cheese a bit and makes it creamier. Lots of practiced comments when served at a BBQ recently!
02/01/2002
Unique combination of flavors.
07/02/2004
Whenever I brand this salad, I get lots of "ooh'due south" and "ahhh's". For those that don't care for blueish cheese, you lot can also substitute crumbled gorgonzola. It's just as rich!
06/08/2009
Made this at a party I catered this weekend, and people wouldn't stop talking about it. Made a couple of changes--used cider vinegar in the dressing and roasted the potatoes. But seriously--bacon, blue cheese, and potatoes? If you don't like this, you're just non eating right!
06/07/2004
I loved this!! I added some blue cheese dressing as other reviews suggested. It was outstanding. All the same, you take to be a blueish cheese lover....my fellow is just getting to where he will eat a piddling blueish cheese dressing. I had him try this and he didn't similar information technology.
05/30/2005
I enjoyed this very much, but I idea it needed table salt. I will brand information technology over again, but apply less oil, more bluish cheese, and more than common salt.
09/04/2002
Simple and Quick....I wanted a recipe for spud salad without mayo... I cooked crimson potatoes in a microwave just like broiled potatoes....then I substituted chives for green onions and faux bacon bits for real bacon...I omitted bluish cheese since not everybody likes information technology...even the kids enjoyed the finished salad...definitely will do this over again!
07/04/2004
Absolutely delicious! I used i/2 the oil called for in the recipe. Served it at a barbecue concluding nighttime, and information technology got rave reviews. My guests want me to make it again this night!
08/06/2001
Did not like this receipe at all. Surprising because I practise similar all the ingredients, just not together.
07/24/2003
A nice twist on standard potato salad. My husband and I actually like blue cheese, so I added three oz of blue cheese and about 1/3 cup chunky blue cheese salad dressing. I also used 6 slices of bacon. Go for the gusto, I say!
06/xv/2009
Awesome! I went right out and bought all the stuff to make this for dinner. Fed my husband and a few friends and they were all crazy for it. I did add together a couple cloves of fresh chopped garlic and extra blueish cheese - considering how can yous go incorrect with garlic and more than cheese? Great recipe - cheers!
02/25/2002
This is my married man's favorite potato salad. I plant that adults tended to like it more than children. I changed a piffling later on the outset time. I added some bluish cheese dressing along with the crumbled blue cheese. This fabricated it creamier and a little more flavorful.
04/21/2012
Took other reviewer advice and decreased the olive oil mixture by ane/two and added blueish cheese to warm potatoes which gives information technology a more creamy texture. Also added 2 t. of dried dill. Yummy!
05/twenty/2002
Absolutely fantastic! This is a keeper! Adding but a little blue cheese dressing enhances the season and makes for a creamier consistency! This has become a staple for all of our developed cookouts! Thanks and then much! Try this recipe! Yous will not regret information technology!
05/30/2005
I like all these ingrediants, but not mixed together. Sorry...
07/17/2005
This is an excellent alter from the traditional potato salad, and it was greeted with joy past my no-so-flexible family. I did follow the suggestion of previous reviews and use less olive oil, and went for the flavor of gorganzola equally an option to true bleu. If y'all take this salad with you lot someplace accept recipe cards set...I was asked repeatedly to share!
06/04/2001
This is an unexpected combination of flavors. I have served this at adult barbeque and high school graduation parties to neat raves. Try it - you'll Beloved it!!
11/14/2001
This is a not bad recipe! I added a fiddling more blue cheese. Rave reviews! Cheers for a keeper!
06/10/2005
I wasn't all that crazy about this potato salad, only guests devoured information technology!
12/29/2002
I will definitely use this ane once again. I used less blue cheese, because information technology's not one of my favorites.
10/22/2003
Oh my gosh!! This was then tasty and easy! I was looking forward to having the leftovers for dejeuner the next day the night before! I did cut dorsum on the blue cheese a TAD and used balsamic vinegar, because thats what I had. I made it twice in one week, that's a good recipe!
08/13/2011
VERY good white potato salad!! I did cutting the oil in one-half, and added some blue cheese dressing to make it a footling creakier, and it was about the best potato salad I've ever had!
07/04/2011
Great recipe! Even one of my kids that doesn't like potato salad loved this. The blue cheese didn't overpower the salad flavor. The bacon was just the correct amount besides.
04/23/2008
I did a quick saute of about ii tsps. minced garlic in some of the olive oil before tossing all together.
08/25/2003
Definitely a repeater. I used 1/2 the olive oil (light) & vinegar called for and "real" bacon $.25. Endeavour this i.
05/07/2003
I would take loved to requite this recipe more stars because I was so excited nearly it, merely my married man and I were both disappointed. Information technology was good, just not as proficient as I had predictable. Something was missing, I'm just not sure what. I may try it once more and take the advice of others and add some blue cheese dressing.
12/05/2011
I'grand vegetarian, so I omitted the bacon and added chopped lord's day-dried tomatoes for flavor. Succulent! A wonderful change from mayo-based potato salads.
03/28/2012
So this is a funny review. I was paranoid about overcooking the potatoes and I accidently undercooked them...literally raw! Couldn't take them to the party, merely I put them in a casserole in the fridge for a few days and 2 days later on threw them in the over. They were delicious!! Requite it a shot. (I also added some bluish cheese veggie dip, which fabricated information technology a fleck creamier, but nice.)
08/01/2005
Very good! Prissy change to regular potato salad. I added a bit actress blue cheese and plenty of salt and pepper. Great for cookouts since there is no mayo!
08/14/2011
This was delicious. I used white wine vinegar as that was what I had, added a little tabasco to the oil/vinegar mix. I didn't have any scallions so I just added a little dried onion for flavor. I adjusted liquid amounts to the amount of potato I had so it wasn't dry at all. Everyone loves that it's mayo free!
03/30/2006
I made this for a family gathering and anybody really loved it. I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. Of course, you must be a fan of blueish cheese.
05/08/2009
I call back it needs a bit of crunch texture and color, some celery or other crunchy vegetable (carmine pepper?, carrot? chives?) but otherwise, this is very, very good for bluish cheese AND bacon lovers. A great main dish or addition to whatever BBQ. Just recall to add the bacon close to serving time. Otherwise it gets mushy.
04/11/2010
This was fantastic! I love bluish cheese and potatoes...together they were heaven! I loved it hot likewise. Next time I will probably decrease the amount of oil, the potatoes seemed to be pond in it. I also used real salary bits instead of frying up some bacon. Tin't wait for the leftovers. Thanks!
xi/30/2011
I fabricated this pretty much according to the recipe, except I used balsalmic vinegar. I took it to a potluck and it was the simply empty dish at the end of the evening. I love that information technology doesn't take mayo and can be served room temperature. Will definitely make again.
09/18/2008
Likewise MUCH OIL!!! I had and then much left over that didn't absorb. Eww! Otherwise, this recipe is keen. I added celery, besides that next fourth dimension I will cutting back on the back a little on the bacon (personal preference). Didn't have enough green onions on hand, supplemented with crimson onion which was fine. The blueish cheese flavor was very strong the first day, but mellowed out on day ii.
06/26/2009
I made 1 modest add-on simply: the oil & vinegar lone wasn't doing it for me then I added about 1 Tbsp of creamy blue cheese dressing to it - that's all - but a dab. This irish potato salad has go my personal favourite. Wonderful change of pace!
06/22/2010
What a great spin on spud salad. It'due south so low-cal and fresh. Much improve than the creamy white potato salad in my opinion. I don't know that I'll ever go back! I forgot the bacon in this, just it was nevertheless AMAZING without information technology. I used red onion because that'south what I had on hand. This stuff is addicting. It was simply as skillful the next twenty-four hours, besides. I can't await to make it again.
08/13/2006
Yum! And and so easy. I didn't take whatever light-green onion and then I added diced sweetness onion instead. I also used half of the oil and it was plenty. I added a compression of saccharide to the dressing. I fabricated the salad a few hours ahead and so the flavors would meld. I added the salary early on besides, but it got mushy, so side by side time I will add together the bacon simply before serving.
12/24/2011
This is easily one of the best irish potato salads I've ever fabricated in my entire life. I added the dressing start and so the cheese with the bacon while the salary was still hot. oh! It was completely amazing!!
04/03/2011
I was and so excited to try a "Mayo" costless Potatoe salad and made this yesterday for a Mom-in-law'southward BD dinner. I followed the recipe instructions exactly except calculation more than "Bleu Cheese" and constitute it to be very bland. Really all 5 adults served did not care for it. The Bleu Cheese and Salary flavors are competely lost even with adding a lot more than recipe called for. All any of u.s.a. tasted was potatoe. A HUGE disappointment. I do non believe adding more salt, vinegar or anything else would help. Exercise not understand all the "Rave" reviews.
01/07/2011
Delicious! I fabricated it yesterday and nosotros ate it last nighttime. I wish I would accept given it another day in the fridge, but everyone enjoyed information technology notwithstanding. The leftovers were fifty-fifty better today!
09/02/2011
Just not a adept potato salad. Not good flavour.
07/06/2006
If you like blue cheese, yous should like this. Made it as is except used 1/four cup olive oil as others suggested. Absolutely delicious.
06/22/2009
I'd requite this v if it were just me. I LOVED it but it didnt wow the crowd as I idea it might judging from other reviews. It was definitely all-time the first twenty-four hours, the vinegar was kind of stiff past second day. 15 minutes cooking time for potatoes is only skillful if they are about the size of ping pong balls otherwise definitely longer time.
05/31/2011
Equally others suggested, I increased bluish cheese and bacon (ii.5 oz and half dozen strips), and decreased oil to 1/3 cup. I recollect that it would accept been fine with the corporeality of cheese and bacon the recipe chosen for. It ended up existence a piddling fleck too much blue cheese for my tastes- a trivial bit goes a long way! Notwithstanding, then glad I decreased the oil! 1/2 loving cup would definitely have been too much. Overall very good flavour!
07/01/2006
Tested this recipe today since planning to make for 4th of july picnic. wonderful recipe. only used 1/four cup olive oil, added 1 tsp dijon mustard to dressing mixture. great culling to traditional tater salad. will brand again and once more. My husband says its his new favorite!
06/24/2018
Simply delicious recipe that is easy to make and is a nice change up from your typical Spud Salads. I definitely recommend making it ahead of time a refrigerating to requite time for the great flavors to meld. I did reserve some bacon $.25, Green Onion and Blueish Cheese which I sprinkled over the top just before serving to freshen it upward. Thank you for the great recipe!
05/07/2012
If you similar Blue Cheese, you will love this dish. It puts a different gustation on evidently ol' potatoes. My bf loved it - who could go incorrect w/ salary & blue cheese.
08/05/2008
Instead of calculation extra oil to the dressing, utilise well-nigh a teaspoon of the bacon grease, instead. I accept used Bragg's cider vinegar on this for an outstanding terminate.
09/fifteen/2011
Very good base of operations...adjust seasoning to taste! My fiance does not each much potato salad because he is non a fan of mayo... he loved this however... even good without the bacon (and we love bacon!)
05/28/2008
My husband enjoyed. I can't eat blue cheese because of a severe penicillin allergy. He said that the potatoes needed just a little bit longer maybe 20 minutes instead of fifteen but that could take been the fact that the potatoes were a footling large.
06/xx/2012
THis was super yummy! I doubled the blue cheese and bacon to arrive a petty more gluttonous! I besides added a dash of blue cheese dressing. Thanks for sharing.
08/28/2011
Fantastic!!!! Brought to a 4th of July family unit picnic. Rave reviews. Defenseless my sis eating it as a midnight snack, she said information technology was the best she e'er tastes. You lot must LOVE blueish cheese though, which we do :)
08/19/2011
Excellent! Next time, I might add together an actress slice of salary or two... thanks for a slap-up new potato salad recipe!
02/27/2013
Bully!
05/14/2009
Loved this potato salad - totally different than anything I have made before and a nice modify. I besides used a bit of prepared blueish cheese dressing in addition to the included dressing (just ane-2 T of information technology) and actress blue cheese crumbles. I also added a petty extra bacon and bluish cheese crumbles. It's excellent served at an outdoor BBQ.
10/31/2007
Four stars b/c my husband loved it! He likes blue cheese. I on the other manus did not treat information technology.
06/xxx/2011
I used a little less oil per suggestions here, and a little more bacon, salt & blue cheese... it's a really amazing salad. Tin't wait to take it to work tomorrow!
03/18/2011
This is an crawly dish. When we had our friends sample it they immediately wanted the recipe.... One particular I am going to add is fresh chopped jalapenos. Just to spice it up a piddling.
07/xiii/2008

02/28/2007
I am not a fan of traditional potato salad, so when I had to choose between having someone else bring potato salad, and making something I'd actually eat ... I chose the latter ... And anybody loved it. I as well merely used half the olive oil chosen for. I'll definitely be making this once again.
07/06/2013
Awesome. For an actress twist I added a handful of dried cranberries. Sweet, salty was fantabulous with the blueish cheese.
04/15/2008
Very, very skillful. Used more blue cheese, less oil and vinegar and it came out fab. many, many compliments.
08/17/2012
I read over this recipe and decided to arrive, equally it contains all the ingredients I love. Coupled with the overall 4.5 Star Rating, I thought this one would be a winner. I couldn't take been more wrong. The flavors seemed to piece of work against each other, and the blue tinge of the blueish cheese made this potato salad look extremely unappetizing. Volition never make again.
10/24/2014
I fabricated this for a friend's BBQ. Information technology was so piece of cake and impressed anybody! I'll definitely exist making this again!
08/12/2006
Excellent! A unlike twist on an sometime favorite. Did take the suggestion of the other reviewers and reduced the oil to 1/iv c which was perfect! Thanks for the great recipe!
02/15/2015
I made this exactly as is, fabled! Then I fabricated it again adding some fried in butter fish. I had to employ it upward so I added information technology to this dish. It stands on its own, merely can exist played with too. The perfect recipe!
08/03/2012
I don't often bother to charge per unit recipes, just this one is SO good that it deserves 5+ stars!! I am non a fan of traditional mayo-based spud salads, so this recipe intrigued me. The flavors alloy so well together to form the best white potato salad I've ever had. I go then many compliments and people asking for the recipe. This ane is a keeper for sure. I agree with the other suggestions to cut the oil in half. Other than that, I LOVE this potato salad!!!
08/06/2012
I made this yesterday with 1/iv cup of extra virgin olive oil and everything else the same every bit the recipe, except instead of humid the red potatoes, I rubbed them with olive oil and common salt and roasted them in a 350 degree oven until tender, and then cut them into serving size pieces. It was super delicious and anybody liked information technology.
04/08/2007
I cutting back on the amount of oil used. I have made the salad a few times, my husband LOVES IT!!!
02/10/2012
Great!
07/09/2013
I fabricated this recipe for a July 4th picnic. The salad was the most talked about thing at the picnic, people loved information technology. The combination of flavors requite it a "new" taste, something different than the one-time stand past potato salad. I would too recommend cutting down on the oil as others mentioned in their reviews. Delicious!
07/15/2008
Like others, I cut back on the oil and added more blue cheese. It was unique, a practiced change of pace! I love blue cheese and am always looking for new ways to incorporate. Thanks!!
01/08/2009
First-class!!!Reduce the olive oil in one-half, y'all won't regret it. Nifty recipe, like shooting fish in a barrel.
08/21/2010
soooo practiced...I added a petty more than bacon and used Gorgonzola cheese instead of the bluish concluding time.
xi/01/2008
This stuff was great! I Used a ten oz. container of crumbled bluish cheese, instead of the quantity the recipe recomended.
04/09/2012
I had to requite information technology three stars. Next fourth dimension I'll follow the instructions instead of reading the other suggestions. I added everything to the hot potatoes and the oil from the dressing separated out & fabricated a mess. Also the dark-green onions became soft instead of well-baked. The flavor was nice, it but wasn't presentable as made.
12/xiii/2010
I added more blue cheese but that'south only because we loooove it! this was a great recipe thank you :)
07/04/2006
I take to say that I chose to apply Bernsteins Blue Cheese dressing (instead of the oil and vinegar), bacon, cerise bell pepper for crunch and information technology was very tasty. My husband thought it was very expert too! This was my first attempt of creating murphy salad and I am pleased with the results.
08/29/2011
This potato salad is very yummy. I added more blue cheese and omitted the salt. The bacon made information technology salty enough for my taste any way.
08/thirty/2011
This is amazingly easy. Due to time restraints I fabricated this totally in my office at work!! Used a microwave veggie steamer to melt the potatoes and nuked the bacon, too. Mixed all while warm. 01/02/2007

This was very good....I would highly recommend it.
x/02/2007
This potato salad is Crawly! Both my husband and I loved it. Like all the other reviewers suggestion, I cut the olive oil in one-half, and it was perfect! I also did use four oz. container of blueish cheese, and the season was perfect. LOVE It and will definitely make it again.
06/26/2018
Oh hey - this was but delicious! Yep, it had a chip too much oil. I usually read reviews and should have defenseless that. Actually I had a sneaking suspicion there would be too much when I poured it in the bowl, but decided to get for it this time. I used Gorgonzola cheese instead of Blue - personal preference and added a chip more than salt after tasting. Nosotros enjoyed information technology warm, but I'm certain information technology volition exist practiced after a residue in the fridge equally well. This is just a super irish potato salad. Cheers for sharing!
04/30/2009
Thank you for posting this awesome recipe. I needed a recipe for tater salad that didn't telephone call for Mayonnaise since I have a teen that gags at the thought of Mayo! I have made the recipe "as is" & it is swell. Nothing needs to be changed. Notwithstanding, since we are all Bleu Cheese lovers, I added a fiddling extra the second time I made it. I also added finely chopped celery and I used a ii lb bag of chopped hash browns to make the dish extra fast & easy. My family unit loved it!
ten/23/2007
I've had this at gourmet restaurants in Ohio. Now that I live in georgia, I oasis't found anywhere that serves this... Information technology is past far my favorite irish potato salad and a Big hit at the dinner table!
07/25/2013
I loved this recipe. The 2nd fourth dimension i tried it, I halved the oil and used a white balsamic vinegar. I exchanged the blueish cheese for gorgonzola & added about a tablespoon of fresh chopped dill. All I tin can say is WOW!
07/08/2010
I made this for a fourth of July BBQ and information technology got devoured. At first no one knew what it was but they went dorsum for seconds. I added chopped celery for crisis and I call up it was a proficient idea. I had to make the dressimg twice, to taste the second fourth dimension because the proportions were off on my start endeavour and I also added a few tablespoons of blue cheese dressing to the mixture.
06/02/2019
I thought this meal wasn't too bad and different that the cafeteria potato salads you get at the store. I did had to cut the quartered potatoes into bite-sized pieces. I've used only one green onion stalk instead of a cup and eight carmine new potatoes instead of a pound. I might arrive again, though I do have leftovers chilled for another night.
07/18/2010
REALLY GOOD! Did make recommended modifications to this- and my family loved it! Definitely recommend! Yummy--served hot and was dandy-had for dejeuner next day cold and good and so likewise!
05/24/2019
Excellent! Toss potatoes with oil and vinegar when potatoes are still warm and then let cool. Add cheese and bacon once it'south absurd.
eleven/02/2015
I served this potato salad with smoked ribs and coleslaw. The flavors paired well and the blue cheese complemented the dish without overpowering it. I would definitely brand this again.
06/25/2009

Absolutely succulent! The vinaigrette and blueish cheese were a perfect pair. A definite keeper!
07/05/2010
Made this yesterday for our July 4th party and information technology received rave reviews. I used half purple potatoes...then it looked very festive for holiday.
